Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Edith Glasglow and Mrs. Pauline Aull, both of Newberry, and Mrs. Troxell Brwon of Charlotte, N.C. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m.

Wednesday in Hampton Memorial Gardens by the Rev. D. Lloyd, associate pastor of New Mount Olive Baptist Church. Family and friends are to assemble at the home of a niece, Mrs. Sarah Bolden, 674 Dresden Drive No.

Loper RICHMOND Mrs. Frances V. Loper, 85, of Camelot Hall Nursing Home died Monday in the home. She was born in Sperryville and had been a Peninsula resident for over 65 years. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital, Hampton, in 1962 after 25 years of service.

She was a member of Hampton Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Wikstrom of Hampton; a son, Charles R. Shaw of Culpeper; four sisters, four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. Chester L. Brown, pastor of Hampton Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Hampton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in the funeral home. Mrs. Julia S. Leake NEWPORT NEWS Mrs.

Julia Saunders Leake, 78, a resident of the Virginia Baptist Home, died Monday in the home. She was born in Prince George County and had been a Peninsula resident for 65 years. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and a member of the Christian Women's Club. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Robert Wilhelm of Newport News and Mrs.

Elizabeth S. Schaffer of Waterloo, N.Y.; and a brother, Robert E. Saunders of Newport News. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev.

V. Allen Gaines and the Rev. R. Furman Kenny. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Virginia Baptist Home.

Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge. Clyde N. Barcalow SUFFOLK Clyde Nicholas Barcalow, 83, of 9332 Eclipse Drive, died Monday in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, after a long illness. He retired from the state highway department in 1972 and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Bagnell Barcalow; a son, Thomas O.

Martin of La Porte, Texas; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. in Ebenezer United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Andrews. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery.

He retired from NASA as an engineer in the research department after 25 years. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was a member of the 3-H Bible class and the Triple Club of the church. He served in World War II with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Survivors include his wife, Mrs.

Boyd D. Herring HOPE MILLS, N.C. Boyd D. Herring, 63, formerly of Newport News, died Thursday in his home. He was born in Hope Mills and had been a Peninsula resident for several years.

16 in an Arkansas hospital. Mrs. Dunston, 73, was a born in Margarettsville, N.C. She met and married 1 Frank Dunston while a resident of Williamsburg. She was buried at Chapel Cemetery, Pendleton, N.C., on Dec.

William Preston Smith 75, of 1703 President died Saturday in North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Holland, Va. He retired as a production engineer with Norfolk Naval Shipbuilding, Portsmouth. He was a member of Holland Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon of the church. He was also a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy E. Smith; a son, the Rev. William P. Smith III of Tupelo; three sisters, Mrs.

Edna Nunnelee of Petersburg, Mrs. Mable Ashton of Hopewell and Mrs. Rena Hickson of Richmond; two brothers, Lafayette Smith and James Smith, both of Fredericksburg; and two grandchildren. A funeral with Masonic rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Chapel.

Mrs. Helen K. Charles SUFFOLK Mrs. Helen Kathleen "Kitty" Charles, 45, of 4365 Driver Lane, died Sunday in Norfolk General Hospital. She was born in Walla Walla, Wash.
