Guedri businessman, dies BY JENIFER V. BUCKMAN Times-Dispatch Staff Writer Joseph B. Guedri greatest blessings came from a job he enjoyed and a close-knit family. Known since his childhood as "Boots," Mr. Guedri helped build a small Richmond electrical contracting firm, Northside Electric, into a business that employed more than 100 people.

"It has grown into a third-generation business and it gave us a nice life, but that nice life mostly came from just loving each other and having wonderful children," said Mary Guedri, who described her husband as a man who "liked to make people laugh and would build up a story to get an even bigger laugh." Mr. Guedri, who was 13 when he began working summers at Northside Electric as his father's helper, died Tuesday in Richmond at the age of 76. A.P. Bmuy our daily bread There is an ancient story of a king who was dying of depression. Physicians tried every cure they knew; then it was suggested that the king's depression could be cured, if he managed to wear the shirt of a per-fectly happy man.

The search was made throughout the realm for a perfectly happy person. At last they found such a person. He was a tramp, bronzed, carefree, utterly happy. They offered him fabukms sums to buy a shirt, only to discover that the happy tramp did not possess a shirt worth taking to the king. But the wanderer sent this message to the king: The way out of depression is to find a right relationship with oneself and with one's fellowmen, and with God to alter the whole direction of life."
